MiLo's original acrylic painting on canvas titled KUBOLA - XXL, 150 cm by 125 cm, signed by the artist, created in 2026, in an abstract figurative style.
Description from the seller
MiLo (1976), Netherlands — Kubola
A bold figurative abstraction built from strong black shapes, warm sandy tones and loosely painted white fields. A face-like presence emerges from the composition without becoming fully defined, balancing somewhere between portrait, mask and abstract form.
The limited palette and graphic construction give the work a strong contemporary character, while the visible brushwork keeps the surface raw and expressive. Kubola has a slightly enigmatic presence, leaving space for the viewer to decide whether the figure feels familiar, invented or entirely imagined.
A striking statement piece that works particularly well in modern and minimalist interiors.
About the artist
MiLo Schepers (1976) is a Dutch contemporary artist based in Amsterdam. His work is characterised by a direct, intuitive approach in which abstraction and figuration often overlap. Bold forms, expressive brushwork and deliberately imperfect surfaces give his paintings a distinctive visual language.
His work has found its way into private collections across Europe and internationally, including the United States, Hong Kong and Taiwan. This growing international presence reflects the broad appeal of his contemporary, highly recognisable style.
