"La Cliente" takes place at the counter of a classic bar where the amber light has been the same for fifty years and no one asks questions that the room has already answered. A young woman with long dark wavy hair sits on the polished copper bar surface, her black silk skirt gathered loosely at her hip, her upper body bare, a glass of red wine within reach of her left hand. She sits with the ease of someone who has been coming here long enough that the bar has stopped noticing what she is wearing or is not wearing. Her gaze drifts downward, somewhere private, her expression carrying the particular distance of someone who came here to think rather than to be seen.
Behind the bar, a woman in a fitted black corset dress stands with her back completely turned, both arms raised toward the upper shelves, her fingers moving carefully among the bottles as she searches for something specific. She does not look at the woman on the counter. This is not indifference. It is the practised discretion of someone who has learned that the best service is the kind that does not intrude.
Two brass wall sconces with warm amber silk shades cast their light across the dark mahogany paneling and the rows of bottles that line the shelves, whisky and gin and liqueur in amber and gold and green, their labels catching the light. The polished copper bar surface reflects everything: the bottles, the lamplight, the wine glass, the two women who occupy this space as though it belongs to them equally and in entirely different ways. Green leather bar stools stand empty along the brass footrail. The room is quiet. Whatever conversation this evening requires has not yet begun, or has already finished.
The artwork explores themes such as nudity as naturalness rather than statement, the bar as a space outside ordinary rules, the silent contract between those who serve and those who are served, feminine presence in a space that accepts without judging, and the particular comfort of a place that already knows you.
T. Pimenta is a Portuguese artist whose commitment to creating visually striking artworks seeks to develop pieces capable of establishing visual presence and emotional connection with viewers and collectors.
The creative process begins with an initial conceptual construction, where the central narrative and emotional direction of the composition are defined. Subsequently, the artistic vision is developed through Adobe tools, digital construction processes and the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI), adding depth, texture, light and structural refinement.
His approach combines traditional artistic sensibilities with contemporary digital techniques, allowing the exploration of different visual languages and the continuous expansion of creative possibilities.
Each artwork additionally receives a manual finishing intervention through an individual hand-applied artistic varnishing process, designed to reinforce luminosity, visual depth and material presence.
