This old traditional fruit or cider press originates from France
It separates juice from the solid components of the fruit (such as grape skins, seeds and pulp).
Traditional presses, like the one pictured, are often made from materials such as cast iron and oak for durability.
The fruit is crushed and then placed in the press basket. With the help of a screw mechanism, pressure is applied to squeeze out the juice, which is then collected.
