The story behind the photo:
During a walk along the Scheveningen coast I was seeking serenity and silence. With my camera in hand I captured the sea as it was at that moment, still, endless and unhurried. The soft horizon, the rhythm of the water, and the vastness of the landscape bring everything back to what truly matters. Simplicity. Silence. Space. Elements that recur throughout my work.

Moments when the noise disappears and nothing else is needed than simply looking. North Sea Silence is a diptych for dreamers, for those who can drift away at the horizon, find beauty in silence, and from time to time like to return to that feeling.
