Vintage Standing Wooden Altar Crucifix – Veneered Pedestal Base – Plaster / Composition Corpus & INRI Scroll – Western Europe, c. 1930–1950.
Offered is an impressive vintage standing altar crucifix, dating from the interwar to mid-20th century period (c. 1930–1950).
The tall cross and its stepped architectural pedestal base are constructed from wood, embellished with geometric wood veneer paneling against ebonized wooden trim. Mounted to the cross is a detailed off-white molded figure of Jesus Christ (Corpus Christi) with a matching "INRI" titulus scroll at the top.
Materials, Dating & Provenance:
• Materials: Wood with wood veneer accents, molded plaster / composition material (Corpus & INRI scroll).
• Dating: c. 1930–1950 (Interwar / Mid-20th Century).
• Origin / Provenance: Western Europe (likely France, Belgium, or Germany).

Condition:
In good vintage condition with authentic age-related wear and patina. Please note the following minor condition details:
• Small chips/fleabites to the plaster Christ figure (notably around the hands/fingers and drapery).
• Minor chips and wear to the wood veneer along the edges of the cross and base.
• A small chip to one of the wooden feet underneath the base (the foot is present, showing only a chip).
