Description from the seller
Bronze Ganesha Statue – Indian Handcrafted Sculpture (Ganesha Playing)
Refined and elegant sculpture depicting the four-armed deity Ganesha, intent on playing a traditional wind instrument (Nadaswaram/Shehnai). In Hindu tradition, Ganesha is the symbol of prosperity, wisdom, and the remover of obstacles, making this piece not only an exceptional decorative element but also a symbol of strong spiritual energy and auspiciousness.
Details and Features:
Subject: Musician Ganesha seated on a finely worked base with floral/lotiform motifs.
Material: Bronze / full copper alloy, produced with the traditional lost-wax casting technique.
Workmanship: Detailed chiseling on the garments, sacred adornments, headdress, and secondary arms that hold the classical attributes (conch shell/ankusha).
Finish and Patina: Fascinating natural darkened patina with warm golden tones and slight traces of oxidation that enhance its three-dimensionality and artisanal character.
Base: Hollow core inside the base, typical of hand-made oriental solid and semi-solid castings.
