Born in 1974 I am self-taught.

After an initial period dedicated to sculpture there was a long pause lasting almost twenty years. From December 2014 I resumed with the "two dimensions" for reasons of time and space, leaving sculpture behind and dedicating myself to acrylic painting.

I love painting abstract landscapes but in the last period I am also pushing myself to paint faces of people, both imaginary and real.

For me painting is "freezing time" in that exact moment; a painting of mine is often a faded memory and therefore my works are "worn, eroded by time". Sometimes the subjects of my paintings are glimpses of walls also eroded by time, with moss and mushrooms that—in time—grow on the surface.
The inexorable passage of time is the main theme of my works.

Coming from a wonderful experience with clay manipulation, I love sculpture, the third dimension, the sense of touch, and my paintings are often characterized by reliefs clearly perceptible to the touch as well as to the naked eye.

Recently, after several years in which my works were made from pieces of recycled paper forming figures, I am pushing myself to explore Optical Art where I use painted wooden disks arranged in lines and grids repeated with mathematical rigor that up close seem to form a colorful abstract painting, but the further away you go the more a portrait emerges formed by many painted wooden disks.

Violence against women is a theme that characterizes almost all of my works when I reproduce female faces, precisely to give them a voice when they do not have the strength or courage to report that they are not dolls of their partners and cannot be mistreated or worse, victims of violence.
