Roberto Rigon for Bertoncello – Sculptural Italian Ceramic Vase – Model 137

An expressive vintage ceramic vase designed by Roberto Rigon for Bertoncello Ceramiche d’Arte. Its bold asymmetrical silhouette and richly textured glaze make it a striking example of Italian modernist ceramic design.

Key Details

- Design: Sculptural, organic form with an asymmetric opening and beautifully curved profile.
- Origin & Period: Designed by Roberto Rigon for Bertoncello Ceramiche d’Arte, Italy, associated with the celebrated Italian ceramic production of the second half of the 20th century.
- Authenticity: The underside bears the handwritten model/reference number 137.
- Materials & Craftsmanship: Glazed ceramic with a remarkable mottled surface combining warm ochre, golden brown, caramel and darker brown tones. The textured glaze creates a distinctive, almost mineral-like appearance.
- Dimensions: Height 21 cm (8.27 in), width 25 cm (9.84 in), depth 13 cm (5.12 in).
- Collectibility: Roberto Rigon’s designs for Bertoncello are appreciated for their unconventional forms, experimental glazes and unmistakable Mid-Century Modern Italian aesthetic.

A highly decorative piece that works equally well as a functional vase or as a standalone sculptural object. Its warm palette and architectural silhouette make it particularly attractive for collectors of vintage Italian ceramics and 20th-century design.

Please refer carefully to the photographs for the condition and appearance of the piece.
