We bring to you a stunning ring set with a 3.65 ct natural Goshenite (Colourless beryl, aka white emerald) from the famous mines of Shigar, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. The quality of the Goshenite is also of the top grade which makes this inclusion and ring even more special. The stone was acquired by us directly from the mines in rough, and we formed the stone into this beautiful faceted stone. We kept the stone in a vault for many years and recently set it into a ring, but under closer examination we where surprised to find a rare inclusion.

RARE INCLUSION - Thin-film fluid inclusions in this goshenite display a spectral hue play of colour iridescent interference colours under magnification under the correct angles, a rare phenomena. But to have it perfectly under the table and crown is beautiful as it is set into a ring the phenomena can be observed even with the naked eye close up but better under magnification. This stone is 100% natural. It has formed inside the famous pegmatites of the Shigar region, famed for producing world class gemstones.

Not many people know this but the people of Pakistan have always been pioneers and connoisseurs of Gemstones from the Indus Valley Civilizations to Gandharan to other rich civilizations. In fact the most important Mughal ruler who was seen as a great lover of Gemstones, Shah Jahan was born in Lahore, which is now in Pakistan. Royal Karhanas in these cities across these lands produced elaborate jewellery and manufactured stones into beautiful works of art. Many of our ancestors are from these same civilizations. An example of such rich gemstone treasures was the royal Lahore court from which many thousands of very important gemstones, from the Kohinoor diamond to historically significant spinel's, emeralds of great wealth was stored manufactured and then later taken by the British. Yet this history is almost forgotten and simply labelled "Indian", but this is our history.
