Large Hematoid Quartz Geode Egg – Polished Quartz with Natural Crystal Cavity
An impressive Hematoid Quartz geode carved into an elegant egg-shaped sculpture, combining a smooth polished exterior with a large natural crystal cavity.
The specimen displays a refined palette of clear, milky white, champagne, soft peach and subtle lavender tones, enriched by warm reddish-brown iron oxide inclusions. These natural colour variations create considerable depth within the quartz and become especially attractive under direct light.
The open face reveals a dense formation of well-developed quartz crystals, with numerous reflective terminations creating a bright, sparkling surface. This contrast between the highly polished outer sections and the untouched crystalline interior gives the piece a particularly sculptural and sophisticated appearance.
The rounded egg form enhances the natural transparency of the quartz while preserving a substantial portion of the original crystallized cavity. Viewed from different angles, the specimen alternates between smooth translucent surfaces, internal mineral inclusions and richly textured crystal formations.
From a mineralogical perspective, Hematoid Quartz is quartz (SiO₂) containing iron oxide inclusions, commonly hematite and related iron minerals, which are responsible for its characteristic reddish, orange and golden tones.
The specimen is supplied with the transparent acrylic display stand shown in the photographs, although its shape also allows it to be appreciated as a freestanding decorative mineral object.
