Andrea Krauß ranks among the prominent figures of contemporary German painting. A prizewinner of the AOK Nordost Art Prize (Berlin/Brandenburg) and former fellow of the renowned Lukas Artist House in Ahrenshoop, she completed her studies at the Braunschweig University of Art. For many years she has dedicated herself to painting and today lives and works in her studio in the heart of Berlin.

At the center of her artistic work is the combination of memory, atmosphere, and landscape. Building on personal impressions, Andrea Krauß develops visual worlds that go beyond the individual and touch universal experiences of nature, space, and transience.
