Maryse Coin - Le bouvreuil -Huile-

My name is Maryse Coin, born in 1957, I am a self-taught French artist and I live in Niort (79).
Passionate about color and texture, I explore different styles ranging from abstract expressionism, action painting, to very realistic academic painting. I work with different media: acrylic, oil, collage.
My works are in private collections, notably in Europe, the United States and Morocco.
I have participated in numerous Exhibitions and Fairs: Deauville, Paris, Perpignan. Marrakech, Florence, Bellano.

The finch is the focal point, seated at the center-left of the composition. It has a vibrant red-pink chest, a black cap, blue-gray cheeks and back, and black and white wings. Its feet are hooked to the wheat ears. It looks to the right, out of the frame.
The bird is perched on two stalks of green, immature wheat ears. Many small droplets of water (dew) glisten on the ears and stalks, adding a touch of realism and freshness. Other ears of wheat are visible in the background, creating depth of field with a blur (bokeh) effect.
The background is a sunny and bright landscape, with gentle mountains and green fields extending into the distance under a golden sky. This suggests that the scene takes place early in the morning or in the late afternoon.
The painting is executed with visible brushstrokes and a palpable canvas texture, which gives the work a handmade and warm look. The colors are vivid and natural.
