Historic Bullfighting Poster - Plaza de Toros de Sevilla (1934) – Juan Belmonte, Niño de la Palma and Cagancho (Beneficio Cruz Roja)\n\nExceptional historic bullfighting poster printed on paper in 1934, corresponding to the Grand Bullfight organized to benefit the Local Board of the Spanish Red Cross, held at the emblematic Plaza de Toros de la Real Maestranza de Sevilla.\n\nA historic poster of enormous historiographical value that brings together three of the top figures of bullfighting of the era:\n\nJUAN BELMONTE: The Sevillian myth and revolutionary of modern bullfighting.\n\nNIÑO DE LA PALMA (Cayetano Ordóñez): Patriarch of a legendary bullfighting dynasty and inspiration for Ernest Hemingway’s literary work.\n\nCAGANCHO (Joaquín Rodríguez): One of the most iconic and plastically expressive Gypsy figures in the history of tauromaquia. Friend of Lorca.\n\nIncorporates black-and-white photographs/photogravures of the toreros and scenes of fighting in the ring. Printed by Raimundo Blanco, Seville.\n\nCondition: Period state. Acceptable with historical patina. The photos are part of the description of the lot’s condition. Shows natural creases, worn edges, slight paper losses on the upper margin, on the back, tape/adhesive marks and stains typical of the passage of time and period paper (see detailed photos).
