Elegant antique painting created in oil on a wooden panel, depicting a romantic courting scene between a young fisherman and a girl in traditional attire, with the sea in the background. The subject is fully attributable to genre painting in the Venetian taste of the late nineteenth century.
The work measures 30 × 23 cm (without frame) and is set in its period gilded wooden frame.
At the bottom right there is a legible signature as "E. v. Blaas". The attribution is not guaranteed and the work is offered as signed, leaving any further verification to the buyer. The subject and technique are consistent with late 19th-century genre production.
