Description from the seller
Artwork created in 2026 by the artist Emma Beatrice Pierotti, born in 1990 in Italy, known as MEMÉ.
Emerging self-taught artist, she has participated in numerous national and international exhibitions with participation certificates and prizes such as Artist of the Year and features in art catalogs as an effect of art of the years 2024 and 2025, e.g., Brussels, London, Miami, New York, Washington, Los Angeles, Venice, Rome, with frequent collaboration with the University of Fine Arts of Istanbul, ARDAHAN ÜNİVERSİTESİ
GÜZEL SANATLAR FAKÜLTESİ
FACULTY OF FINE ARTS. Recently selected for the award “Consolidated Artists ‘27.”
This work in acrylic and oil pastels is made on canvas with mixed media, measuring 210x188 cm (the dimensions refer to the entire canvas without the frame; consider the centimeters used for the structure).
*the canvas may appear creased; this does not compromise the quality or suitability of the work, and when the canvas is stretched the folds will disappear.
Style and Essence: The work fuses Abstract Informal and Art Brut, translating emotions instinctively and viscerally, without the filters of the mind.
Visual Focal Point: In the center stands a stylized daisy, an archetypal symbol of purity, light, and resilience emerging from the surrounding disorder.
Use of Color: The canvas thrives on strong psychological contrasts. The dark tones and reds at the bottom represent the earthly subconscious, while yellows, acidic greens, and a pastel pink block bring light and vitality.
Gesture (Scribbling): Dense tangles of lines and overlapped doodles evoke psychic automatism, turning the act of painting into a continuous flow of energy and therapeutic catharsis.
Meaning: It is a sensorily map that tells the constant tension between the chaos of the mind (or the world) and the search for inner balance.
Unique of its kind, in excellent condition, hand-signed bottom right with acrylic and on the back with ink; the frame is not present. Shipping would be with the canvas rolled in a reinforced tube suitable for shipping.
Packaging consists of recycled materials to counter pollution and encourage the recycling of existing materials; this too can become a creative and enjoyable process, without compromising packaging suitability.
*For shipments outside Italy, any duties and customs taxes are the buyer’s responsibility, unless otherwise requested by the shipping service.
The work is cataloged and entered in the international archive of modern art; certificates of authenticity and archival documentation will be delivered with the work in paper form. The certificate of ownership is available on request in PDF format.
*Photos of the works may slightly vary in color depending on the device used to view the painting. In images focusing on detail, the color is the most faithful. In illustrative images I use a specialized program for artists to simulate the framed work in a common environment.
