Beautiful oil on canvas depicting a generous composition of cherries arranged in a large dish. The artist plays with a palette particularly warm, dominated by deep reds, vermilions and bright yellows, to which the blue-green of the dish responds. The numerous reflections and variations in tonalities give the fruits a very lively presence, while a few cherries placed outside the dish animate the composition.

The painting material is generous and expressive, with especially careful work on lights, transparencies and reflections. The dark red background reinforces the chromatic intensity of the whole and gives this still life a strong decorative presence.
