Collection of Artistic Ceramics from Gualdo Tadino (20th Century)

This documentation attests to the status, condition, and commercial assessment of a collection composed of 20 pieces from the ceramic tradition of Gualdo Tadino (Perugia). The collection stands out in particular for the important core of works realized with the traditional lustre metal technique (third glaze firing in a reducing atmosphere with gold and ruby reflections), paired with historical polychrome maiolicas.

SECTION I: LUSTRE WORKS (GOLD AND RUBY RED)
The lustre with reverberation technique, rediscovered in the nineteenth century by Paolo Rubboli, provides a third firing in a reducing atmosphere with organic fumes, which gives the surfaces iridescent metallic shifts.

1. Pouring Jug Tall (Carlo Rubboli)
Measurements: Height 16 cm.
Description: Slender body with tall and plastic handle. Miniature Renaissance-like and grotesque decoration on cobalt blue background. Excellent saturation of ruby red.
Condition: Intact.

Description: Traditional two-toned parade jug with a pronounced spout, richly adorned with metallic gold and ruby reflections.
