Born in 1974, I am self-taught.
After an initial period devoted to sculpture, there was a long hiatus lasting almost twenty years. Since December 2014 I resumed with the "two dimensions" for time and space reasons, setting sculpture aside and dedicating myself to acrylic paintings.
I love painting abstract landscapes, but recently I have been pushing myself to paint faces of people, both imaginary and real.
For me, painting is about "freezing the moment" in that exact instant; my painting is often a faded memory and therefore my works are "worn, eroded by time". Sometimes the subjects of my paintings are views of walls, also eroded by time, with moss and mushrooms that over time grow on the surface.
Time that passes inexorably is the main theme of my works.
Coming from a beautiful experience with clay manipulation, I love sculpture, the third dimension, the sense of touch, and my paintings are often characterized by reliefs that are clearly perceivable both by touch and to the naked eye.
