In this work, my brushstroke becomes the language of the soul. Observe how the colors, in their vibrant intensity, intertwine to tell a story of duality and balance. The oil on canvas technique, with its bold and textured strokes, captures the very essence of human emotion.

I have used a palette of bold and saturated colors to evoke a sense of energy and vitality. The burning reds and intense oranges symbolize passion and the vigor of life, while deep greens and bright whites represent calm and clarity. This combination of colors creates a visually striking contrast that reflects the complexity of our own existence. The sensitivity of the body is highlighted through meticulous details such as the curvature of the back, the texture of the skin, or the play of light and shadow conveying a serene elegance.

Vida AMReyes. (Granma, Cuba 1991) discovered from a very young age that drawing was not just a pastime, but a way to translate the world. In 2010, she graduated with honors from the prestigious Carlos Enrique Gómez School of Fine Arts. There she consolidated an exceptional technical dexterity in oil painting, acrylics, and life drawing—foundations that later would shape her conceptual signature.

Her early years of career unfolded amid the Cuban cultural effervescence, actively participating in young art salons and group exhibitions. Her work quickly began to stand out—receiving numerous awards and mentions in salons and exhibitions.

AMReyes’s work is distinguished by a visceral and imposing realism that grabs the eye instantly. Yet her proposal does not rest on mere photographic mimesis. On an anatomy studied with rigor or faces filled with deep psychographic expressiveness, the artist overlays and integrates icons, allegories, and conceptual elements: wings that seem invisible to the one who bears them, suspended threads, blocks of dense color, or garments laden with symbolism. For her, the human body and the everyday figure are the perfect canvas to reflect on identity.

This fusion between technical mastery and symbolic narrative opened the way to her international projection. Over the past decade, her works have been acquired by private collectors and galleries in:
