Description from the seller
NELSON GALÁN
Fruit of my land
Oil on canvas (applied to panel)
Signed at bottom right
Dimensions 37x39 with frame
18 x 19 without frame
Refined and evocative still life with warm chromatic atmospheres, created by Salvadoran painter Nelson Galán. The work, entitled "Frutos de mi tierra" as attested by the dedication label on the back, stands out for a meticulous and hyperreal painting rendering. At the center of the composition, two pears with golden and stippled shades rest on a surface, embellished by realistic water drops that enhance their freshness and three-dimensionality. Floating above the fruits, three green leaves seem to drift softly in an intimate and gathered space, delimited by architectural backdrops in earthy tones.
The skillful use of chiaroscuro and the care for detail confer the scene a poetic and suspended charm. The painting is set in an elegant and distinctive dark textured mat with embossed patterns, itself enclosed in a gilded frame. On the back is a printed label bearing a birthday dedication dated "March 2004", signed by the "Familia Silhy Zacarías".
If the visible frame in the photo is included in the lot, it is offered as a pure courtesy by me and is not part of the sale; it does not determine the value and, due to its delicacy, is not insured. Consequently, any defects already present on the frame are not reported and any damage to it during transport will not be considered for claims or returns. The wall mounting system could also be removed. Glass panes often break during transport and may ruin the artwork. They can be removed upon request at no additional cost. Please let me know if you prefer the work to be shipped without it; otherwise I cannot assume responsibility.
Notes on shipping and customs
The item is shipped from Geneva, Switzerland. For this reason, delivery times to EU countries may be slightly longer than usual due to standard customs clearance procedures.
In case of return of the package for an incorrect address, unclaimed parcel or unpaid duties, the buyer will have to pay a second shipping and cover return costs.
I also remind you that, since Switzerland lies outside the EU customs area, import taxes, local VAT and customs duties are entirely the buyer’s responsibility and will be charged by authorities in your country upon delivery. I advise you to inform yourself in advance to avoid surprises. Alternatively, rather than shipping, if you have the possibility, personal pickup in Geneva is always the option I prefer and strongly recommend, as it eliminates shipping costs and guarantees the maximum safety for the work. If shipping is chosen, I will do my best to pack the painting to protect it during travel.
