This drawing is all about tension, posture, and line. Executed in 2026, it's an intimate, immediate study of the body in motion. I worked quickly to capture the sharp angle of the shoulders and the bend of the torso before the feeling faded.

Instead of filling everything in with traditional shading, I let a sweeping neon-orange contour line carry the energy around the back, offsetting it with soft, textured washes of chalky pink and deep crimson along the arm and hip. It’s light, direct, and unpretentious—left unframed so the raw texture of the paper and the speed of the mark-making speak entirely for themselves.
