Original Adrian Model 1915 helmet from France used by the poilus in World War I, with a dark horizon blue anti-reflective repaint per 1916 camouflage guidelines, no leather interior, non‑regulation chinstrap, grenade insignia, and maker mark inside reading “Le Jouet de Paris”; no certificate.
Description from the seller
Adrian helmet model 1915, used by the poilus during World War I (1914-1918).
Beautiful period paint in horizon blue, anti-reflective and dark. This helmet left the factory with the light, bright horizon-blue paint of the 1st model, still visible on the interior. It was subsequently repainted in accordance with the 1916 directives, with a dark, matte paint to improve camouflage.
Without its leather interior, but with a chin strap that is not the regulatory model. Grenade insignia. Inside, the manufacturer mark: "Le Jouet de Paris".
A classic helmet, but a superb piece in its patina. To clean or to leave as is.
Shipped by La Poste or by Mondial Relay.
