The work is richly illustrated with 38 high-quality plates (of which 30 are brilliant full-color chromolithographs presenting over 250 plant varieties), accompanied by clear, non-technical descriptions, indexes of botanical names, and a detailed glossary.

Condition Report:

Overall Condition: Good (A beautifully preserved and collectable copy).

Binding & Spine: Bound in the original dark burgundy/maroon cloth with a distinctive gold-gilt floral vignette on the front board and bright gilt lettering along the spine. The cloth shows only light handling wear and minor surface rubbing, with corners and spine ends remaining in nice shape. The binding is firm and tight.

Interior: Very clean with crisp, bold text throughout. It features a lovely contemporary ink gift inscription on the front flyleaf reading: "Ella D. Turnbull with love from H.W.T. Christmas 1930."

Plates: All 38 plates (30 in color and 8 in black-and-white) are complete, securely bound, and display excellent color accuracy.
