Manuela Decker (born 1973) is a contemporary German painter who lives and works in Osnabrück. As a self-taught artist, she has developed an unconventional, deeply emotional visual language that moves freely beyond academic constraints. Under the studio name Gallery M, she presents her works to an international audience.

Artist Profile & Style
Manuela Decker’s works are associated with Abstract Expressionism and modern informal art. At the heart of her work is the process of letting go. Her large-format acrylic paintings often emerge impulsively and intuitively—guided by momentary impressions, moods, and the dynamics of color itself.

Technique:
She predominantly works with acrylic paints, pastels, and texturing mixed techniques on canvas. The application of color is layered, sometimes boldly spread, sometimes softly brushed or glazed, giving her paintings a tactile depth.
Contrasts: A recurrent motif is the play with extreme opposites. In series such as “Better in black,” she contrasts deep, dark fields with sudden, luminous color explosions or minimalist lines. Imperfect and raw elements are deliberately staged as aesthetic devices.
Philosophy and Intent:
For Manuela Decker, art is an outlet for the unsayable. She aims not to force a fixed interpretation on the viewer, but to offer room for personal associations and feelings. Her art seeks dialogue with the subconscious.
