• Why You’ll Love It
CHANEL apparently looked at a beautiful black quilted flap and decided it needed more chain — and thank goodness somebody did. The Chain Around design frames the entire silhouette in chunky leather-woven aged gold-tone chain, giving this bag a completely different attitude from a traditional Classic Flap.

Then there’s that little top handle. Carry it by hand when you want the chain to become part of the jewelry, throw it over your shoulder, or use the 21” drop for crossbody wear. Black lambskin and aged gold hardware keep it unmistakably CHANEL, but the Chain Around construction makes it considerably less predictable.

It is classic enough to wear forever, unusual enough that another black CHANEL does not make it redundant, and just dramatic enough to make people who know CHANEL look twice.

• Great Pre-Owned Condition
Black lambskin remains beautifully maintained overall with rich color, defined diamond quilting and excellent body structure. Corners and edges present beautifully, the interior remains clean overall, and the aged gold-tone hardware has gorgeous character and presence.

The Chain Around family is one of those CHANEL designs that gives collectors all the recognizable house codes without simply repeating the Classic Flap. The chain becomes part of the architecture of the bag itself, wrapping around the perimeter and creating a much more jewelry-heavy silhouette.

Sticker 25339664 places this piece within CHANEL’s 25 Series, consistent with 2017–2018 production. The Small Top Handle configuration is particularly fun because it combines three carry styles with the dramatic Chain Around detailing while keeping the proportions compact and wearable.
