Description from the seller

Glazed earthenware artisanal vase - Giovanni Buccella (Italy) - 20th century

Charming artisanal vase in glazed earthenware, entirely handmade and decorated by the Italian ceramist Giovanni Buccella. This piece is distinguished by its rustic and dynamic decoration of twisted bands in a spiral.

Signature: Very legible engraving under the base: "Buccella Giovanni" accompanied by the mention "2 E".

Alternating bands colored cobalt blue, earthy brown and milky white, displaying a beautiful crackle glaze effect, with subtle green nuances.

Wheel-thrown work and traditional glazing. The interior of the neck reveals the rough, authentic grain of the terracotta.
Second half of the 20th century.
Good condition for use. Presence of small glaze irregularities and original glaze skips (visible in the close-up photos) which add charm and authenticity to this artisanal production. No major cracks.
Dimensions: +/- -
23 cm high
14 cm in diameter at the widest
