Description from the seller
Breakfast with a Guitar
We present a vibrant and sophisticated contemporary still life that pays a brilliant homage to the historical vanguard of the 20th century, with a strong and evident influence of Synthetic Cubism and Fauvism. The composition revolves around the fragmentation of elements and musical instruments —highlighting a suggestive blue and sky-toned guitar— and geometric fruit shapes on a textured carpet.
The piece’s great achievement lies in its spatial duality: the still life in the foreground harmonizes with the exterior through an open window, framed by a lime-green blind bursting with light. In the background, the organic shapes and labyrinthine patterns simulate an exterior nature stylized under a sky of warm yellows and golds that flood the entire scene with a lyrical, summery atmosphere.
With a bold color palette where deep reds of the table contrast with the cool blues of the objects and the dynamism of the black outlines, this work achieves a perfect balance between formal abstraction and the warmth of everyday life. A piece with exceptional visual magnetism, ideal for leading contemporary art collections that seek to reinterpret classic genres with freshness and vitality.

About the artist
I am a visual artist with more than 25 years of artistic trajectory in which I have explored diverse techniques and supports, including drawing, photography, animation, and video installation. For me, painting is more than a medium of expression: it is its own language, a way to convey emotions, concepts, and perspectives through color and form. Each of my works is unique and unrepeatable, born from an intuitive and authentic artistic process.
In my most recent work I am exploring a vibrant and very personal painting, where I combine imagined landscapes, still lifes, and everyday scenes with a geometric, colorful language. I am interested in playing with light, shapes, and perspectives to create images that move between the real and the symbolic. These works arise from the desire to build spaces that invite quiet reflection, to discover details, and to be carried by the energy of color.
My work has participated in international exhibitions, biennials, and fairs such as the Havana Biennial, the Curitiba Biennial, the Mercosur Biennale, the Asunción Biennial, the Berlin Art Biennial, and fairs like ARCO, among others. It is also part of public and private collections such as the Paraná Institute of Art, the Havana Cultura Collection, and the Benetton Collection.
