Alvise Bon (also known as Alvi or Alviart) is a contemporary Italian painter and illustrator, born in 1963 in Udine.

The mimic wrinkles, the lines on the face, tell us of tears.
Thoughts, fears, hatred, .... But also surprises, grimaces, joys and smiles.

Painter, illustrator, versatile artist, curious and eager to experiment, Alvise Bon explores spaces, techniques and contexts. He has always shown a particular interest in exploring new technical and expressive forms of expression. As a self-taught artist, endowed with remarkable craftsmanship and an aptitude for graphics, he avoids traditional techniques and uses the brush instead as a tool of his creativity, and color as the fruit of alchemy and playful engagement. As a keen observer, he does not portray on the canvas what you are, but what he sees.

As a admirer of artists close to his heart, such as Guy Denning, Joshua Miels and Solly Smook, he, like them, renders feelings and moods in the blobs of color he arbitrarily lays on the faces of his canvases, thus drawing a path that is permeated by shadows and presences, by ancient sufferings that many generations of men and women have experienced and that have surrendered their existence to dust.
