Biography
Gerald Groshens discovered his passion for painting at the age of 16 when he made a dotted drawing with a dip pen during a class at school. This technique, which gives a photographic effect to his works, marked the beginning of his artistic journey. Today, Gerald Groshens mainly practices oil and acrylic painting, often on canvas, using pointillism as his dominant technique. His work explores various figurative and impressionist forms, with particular attention to detail and texture, as evidenced by his depictions of landscapes, scenes of daily life, and marine subjects. Settled in a region where nature and the elements play an important role, he draws inspiration especially from local landscapes and natural phenomena, which is reflected in his works. His artistic commitment is expressed in a constant pursuit of creation, favoring the time devoted to the artwork over participation in exhibitions. Over the course of his career, Gerald Groshens has received several awards and has exhibited internationally, notably in Japan and France, highlighting the recognition of his work. His approach blends technical rigor and sensitivity, offering a personal expression through mastery of pointillism and traditional media.
