Description from the seller

BMW - K 100 RS - 1000 cc - 1985 - Original specimen preserved with period accessories

Main data:
Manufacturer: BMW
Model: K 100 RS
Registration year: 1985
Mileage: 96,000 km
Conditions: Mechanical ready to use, aesthetics preserved (bodywork to be repainted)
Plate: Original first registration plate with province CN (Cuneo).
Pickup location: via Vivaro 21/A Alba (Province of Cuneo, Piedmont, Italy).

Vehicle description:
We offer at auction an authentic piece of 1980s motor-tourism history: the legendary BMW K100RS, famous for its indestructible flat-four engine. This specimen represents an excellent opportunity for those seeking a solid, purely historical base, having remained completely original and free from major structural modifications. As visible in the extensive photo set, the fairings require repainting due to normal signs of wear over time.

Technical conditions
Mechanical and engine: The famous 4-cylinder flat engine of 987 cm³ shows no fluid leaks or abnormal performance. The motorcycle starts up, runs and shifts normally. The gearbox and clutch are smooth and precise in engagement.

Maintenance: Full service and braking system work completed at the end of May 2026. The brakes are ready to use and the discs are in excellent condition. Tires with well-defined tread and still fully usable. The driveshaft is clean and leak-free.

Electrical system: Fully checked and fully functional. Low and high beam headlights, indicators (turn signals) and rear brake light are operational. The digital clock on the dashboard works.

Documentation and Equipment
Documents and plate: The motorcycle is properly registered in Italy and has its original first-registration plate with province CN (Cuneo). VIN number (OOO2235K10ORS) and the original BMW manufacturer plate are on the frame and clearly legible.

Keys included:
Complete set of 5 keys: 2 ignition keys (1 original BMW and 1 duplicate), 1 key for the locks of the panniers and hard cases, 2 keys for the safety steering lock.

Included accessories: Original BMW touring hard side cases, original BMW rear top case, and a soft era-era tank bag.

Shipping and Pickup
Pickup: The lot is available exclusively for on-site pickup by the buyer (or via a specialized courier chosen by them and fully managed) at the sede where the bike is located at Via Vivaro 21/A Alba (Province of Cuneo, Piedmont, Italy).

Note: the pickup point is Alba (CN), not Catania.

Ownership transfer or deregistration procedures for export abroad are entirely the buyer’s responsibility.

Disclaimer

Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
