Description from the seller

New Series - Crypto Comics _ Mahna Mahna set against the backdrop of the Muppet Show!

Photographer Artist – Creator of contemporary images

Multidisciplinary photographer, author and musician, David Law develops work focused on gaze, presence and the perception of the image in urban space. He first made a name with a series devoted to storefront dummies, integrated into the city through a subtle game of reflections and superimpositions. This exploration of gaze and presence gave birth to an art book published in 2021. Later, drawn to the singular aesthetics of collectible dolls and Japanese figurines, he continues this reflection by staging them in the streets of Paris and other European capitals. Through framing, light and composition, these inanimate models acquire a troubling, almost lifelike presence, questioning our relationship to illusion and projection.

New Series – Walls of legends

This series pays tribute to emblematic figures who have marked history, music, cinema and popular culture. Each portrait, pared down to essentials, captures in a few powerful contrasts an instantly recognizable identity. Created with contemporary digital tools and then transposed into a stencil aesthetic, the works sit within the street art tradition, between spontaneity and mastery of gesture. Deep black and raw surfaces evoke direct intervention on the wall, while imperfections and textures reinforce their urban character. Between collective memory and visual expression, this series offers a timeless reading of icons who continue to inhabit our imagination.

Edition & Fabrication

Each work is offered in a limited edition of 8 numbered copies + 4 artist’s proofs (A.P.), signed by the artist and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. The prints are made on aluminium with a built-in rear mounting. Printed on luminous white vinyl, mounted between two aluminium plates, with flexible UV- and humidity-resistant lamination, guaranteeing excellent durability, long-term color stability and a modern, contemporary look.

Parcours

Since 2014, David Law has participated in around twenty Contemporary Art fairs per year in France and Europe. He is also the official photographer and videographer for several organizers of contemporary art fairs. Parallel to his visual work, he develops an authorial and musical career including 3 novels, a collection of short stories, a graphic novel, a photo book and 5 self-produced CDs. A singer-guitarist, he currently performs with the band FRENZY.
