About the artist:
María José Fernández (Otura, Granada, 1985) is an Andalusian painter specializing in atmospheric landscapes and nature-inspired art. She lives in La Quintería (Jaén), where she finds inspiration in southern light, the quiet of the countryside, and the emotional connection to spaces.

A self-taught artist since age 17, she develops work focused on conveying calm, contemplation, and natural beauty through compositions rich in light, water, and chromatic depth.

She has participated in solo and group exhibitions, including the Federico García Lorca Cultural Center (2017), Artes Jomasa (2019), and the MundoArti Virtual Museum (2021).
