Description from the seller

Three naked bodies.
Ken Moody and Lydia Cheng were often photographed alone by Mapplethorpe.
They are gathered here with Tyler, on the left, in a magnificent composition that sublimates the bodies of athletes in the elegance of black and white. Lydia Cheng is a famous bodybuilder, a pioneer of the discipline with Lisa Lyon.

Digital print in black and white with glossy lamination. Hot-surface lamination.
An old Misomex montage specimen (Film or file replication machine - CTP - Computer to Plate - for the imposition of offset plates).
Printer SERAG. Medium resolution. Later print, 2009.
Format 18.6 x 15.6 cm, mounted on a wooden panel 30 x 24 cm.
In very good condition.
Label and annotations on the back.

Robert Mapplethorpe was a world-renowned American photographer known for his highly stylized black-and-white images, his portraits of celebrities, his male nudes, and his floral still lifes.

His most provocative work, documenting the gay BDSM subculture of New York in the 1970s, redefined the boundaries of contemporary art and sparked intense national debates about freedom of expression and public funding of culture in the United States
