Description from the seller

Iban Dayak pig-amulet "Tun Tun"
Country: Indonesia, Kalimantan (Borneo)
Island: Kalimantan (Borneo)
Tribe: Dayak people

Material: hard wood with a beautiful patina AND FANTASTIC EROSION!
Size: 66 cm (on stand 71 cm / included)

A tun-tun-pig or "pig-stick" used by the Iban Dayak in North Borneo as a trigger for an advanced trap. On a magical level the mythical figure would "lure" or attract prey. In practice, a cloth, soaked with the scent of food, was inserted into the body of the figure to lure the animal.

If you look at the photos, you can see the patina and the condition of the old ulin wood, which contributes to the originality and age. Beautiful collectible / museum piece. It comes with a tailor-made iron stand on which the statue reaches a height of 71 cm.
