Jacques (Jaak) Doré (1861–1929) – Old Man Raising a Glass by the Window

Raffinata scena d’interno del pittore belga Jacques (Jaak) Doré, nato ad Anversa nel 1861 e morto nel 1929.

The work depicts an elderly man seated beside a window while raising a glass toward the light. The scene is constructed according to the tradition of Flemish and Dutch genre painting, with special attention to the luminous effects of the domestic interior and the objects of daily life.
