Description from the seller

Title: "The Gladiolus" (listed as "Studio of the Giant Flower")
Artist: Midea (painter active in Turin, with an Art Studio at 103 Corso Rosselli)
Technique: Oil on paper
Dimensions: 18 x 30 cm
Artistic period: "Chiarismo" (as stated in the certificate of guarantee)
Framing: Frame shop "L'Incontro" (Turin, dated 23/03/1988)

The work depicts a vertical floral composition of gladioli in pink, red and yellowish tones, with elongated leaves in olive green hues.

Chiarist Period: Compared to the works of the author's other periods ("Surrealist" or Symbolist period visible in the flyer with darker or metaphysical floral subjects), this composition stands out for a brighter palette and a light, neutral background.

Composition: The line is fluid and decorative, with a stylized, clearly visible signature in red at the lower left (MIDEA).

The certificate on the back references a publication in Bolaffi Arte no. 56 of 1976.

Type of support: This is an oil on paper with compact dimensions of 18 x 30 cm.
Artist market: Midea is an author with a predominantly local market (Piedmont/Turin area) and private collecting limited to a restricted circle.

Complete documentation: The presence of the original guarantee certificate and autograph with details on the artistic period unequivocally attest to its authenticity.

Condition: The work and its mounting are in excellent overall condition.
Local context: It preserves an emotional and historical value related to the Turin gallery scene of the 1970s–1980s.
