Description from the seller

Antique crystal bridal goblet with metal mount

Description: Lovely and rare antique crystal bridal or occasion goblet (trumpet vase on a foot)
This ceremonial object dates from the early 20th century (c. 1900-1915), and could be Bohemian or French?
The cup is made of heavy lead crystal and features a very rich and deeply hand-cut geometric lattice and fan pattern (taille riche).
The stem is faceted and rests on a sturdy foot with a star-shaped incised pattern (starburst).
The upper part is elegantly finished with an openwork decorative metal collar (monture) in Art Nouveau/early Art Deco style.
They were traditionally around the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century (often as a wedding gift)

The goblet is in reasonably used condition. The crystal shows scratches from use and has developed a light haze/film over time. However the piece is free from major cracks, chips, or restorations. The copper collar is intact and has a beautiful patina. See the photos for your own impression of the condition.

Dimensions are approx: 27.5x11.5x10 cm
Weight 1050 grams
Carefully packaged and insured shipping.
