This is an interesting and rare photograph by the well-known Hungarian/Swiss photographer Paul Almasy (1906-2003), depicting a Maya family visiting the famous Maya Culture Museum (The Museo de la Cultura Maya in Chetumal (Quintana Roo, Mexico) is one of the most important museums dedicated to the Maya civilization, best known for the large reproduction of the sacred Ceiba tree at the center of the building, which symbolizes Maya cosmology (hell, earth and sky).

It is a photograph of good size, 23.5 x 30 cm, and it is a truly very beautiful and meaningful image in Almasy's photographic oeuvre.
