DESCRIPTION
Burmese bronze statuette depicting a monk in prayer, kneeling, hands joined in a gesture of prayer and devotion (anjali mudra).
The sculpture features a beautiful antique patina with natural green and brown oxidation due to its age. Lost-wax artisanal casting.
The stem on which the statuette stands comes from the fact that it probably formed part of a pair of adorers surrounding a Buddha statue.
I date it cautiously to the mid-19th century but, given the surface patina from excavation, it is certainly older.

Height with the stem: 13.2 cm
Sold with an artisanal base that would deserve to be replaced.
Old decorative piece for collection with a strong presence and authentic patina.
ETAT
Very good overall ancient condition with normal wear due to age, oxydations and small surface irregularities in keeping with an authentic antique sculpture (see photos).
