Description from the seller
A0000006068
Attractive and robust neo-vintage diving watch Hamilton Khaki Sub (Ref. 9744), a piece from the 1990s that blends the brand's legendary military heritage with the reliability of Swiss manufacture. With its versatile 38 mm stainless steel case, it offers the classic and ideal proportions of mid-century divers.
The watch stands out for its deep navy blue dial, which features the classic military layout of 12 and 24 hours (inner scale), complemented by a practical date window at 3 o'clock. The iconic Mercedes hands and the indices have developed a warm patina in their luminous material. The set is framed by a unidirectional blue diving bezel insert, which shows natural wear (ghosting and scuffing) that gives it an authentic and highly sought-after "tool watch" character by collectors.
Powered by a precise Swiss quartz movement and with a screw-down case back, the watch is delivered mounted on a nice navy blue leather strap with contrasting stitching (replacement), which perfectly matches the tones of the dial and bezel.
Technical details of the piece:
Movement: Swiss quartz.
Dimensions: 38 mm diameter (excluding crown). A midsize size very comfortable for any wrist.
Bracelet: Navy blue leather (aftermarket).
Condition and Conservation: As a timepiece with several decades of history behind it, it’s important to remember that its charm lies precisely in the signs of time and in the adventures it has lived. We cannot demand the clinical perfection of a watch fresh from the factory, but rather admire the patina, the character, and the soul that only years of use confer. The watch is in good working condition. The steel case shows normal micro-scratches from use. The bezel insert shows scratches and loss of paint at the outer edges, accentuating its vintage aesthetic. The crystal is in good condition.
Box/Accessories: The lot includes only the watch (no original box or papers).
Please inspect the images carefully to assess the patina of the hands and the cosmetic wear of the bezel, elements that give it its distinctive personality.
Shipping
The lot will be shipped carefully protected, packed extremely securely, with insured shipping and an international express tracking number.
