Statue, Sansone (?) - 70 cm - Terracotta

Important terracotta sculpture depicting a male figure of biblical or allegorical subject, probably from the Italian school. The work features a modeling of excellent quality, with particular care in the rendering of the anatomy and of the drapery. The traditional identification of the subject as Samson is reported only as a hypothesis and does not constitute a definite attribution. Sculpture offered without attribution to a specific author. Good state of preservation with normal signs of aging. The photographs constitute an integral part of the description.
