My journey and my artistic approach
From a very young age, drawing has been a fundamental passion that has never left me. It’s now been 40 years that I express myself with my brushes, tirelessly exploring shapes, light and matter. My work first found its audience online, before being shown in the physical world: I was lucky to exhibit my paintings in my hometown in a small gallery and in restaurants, but also during an exhibition in Paris. Today, my works have found their place in numerous private collections.
Through my work under the name Erik-H, I invite you to dive into my vibrant universe, passionately focused on representing the human body and face. Through a prism where color is queen, each of my works becomes for me a territory for exploring the complexity of being.
My aim is above all to grasp the very essence of the individual, blending the expressiveness of color with an approach that anchors my subjects in striking realism. My canvases do not merely reproduce: they question intimacy, posture and emotion. I handle the brush with a particular sensitivity to illuminate the inherent sensuality of the body, capturing moments of grace, strength or contemplation. Color, which I work with boldly and texturally, is my preferred language to amplify feelings and give life to flesh and gazes.
Finally, driven by the conviction that art should be accessible, I am committed to offering my creations to as many people as possible. It is essential for me to offer original and high-quality works at affordable prices, thus allowing everyone to integrate the emotion and beauty of contemporary figurative art into their daily life.
