Original period print made around 1980 on Cibachrome Ilfochrome Classic paper by the master printer Roland Dufau, coming from the photographer and reporter Mireille Vautier's personal archives.
This striking documentary composition captures Cuban reality through an intimate interior: a portrait of Ernesto Che Guevara framed and hanging above a vintage television set, on an ochre wall patinated by time. Artist Biography :
Mireille Vautier, a graduate of Sciences Po Paris and holder of a Master from Cornell University (USA), conducted numerous ethnographic and photographic missions for UNESCO. Her work has been disseminated by major photo news agencies, including the ANA agency. Her work has received support and recognition from leading figures in international photography, including Joan Fontcuberta, Hasselblad Prize laureate (the equivalent of the Nobel Prize in photography). Her reportage and books have been published by prestigious publishers such as Actes Sud, Nathan and Hazan.
