Description from the seller
Aldo SOARES (1960) André Dussollier, Paris, 1999
Silver print
Signed, titled, located, dated in pencil on the back
Dimensions including margins: 30 x 24 cm
Aldo Soares
Born March 31, 1960, Fafe, Portugal.
These prints are unique prints made from negatives of Polaroid PN 55.
The PN 55 is a large-format Polaroid system, now unavailable, which produced in 30 to 40 seconds of development a black-and-white image accompanied by a negative.
The negative format is 10 x 12 cm. The positive being a rather unusable control print, one may consider that the original of this Polaroid is the first print made.
The system is comparable to a black-and-white print from a negative, in a sense.
