Description from the seller
Oranges and reds mingle with the taste of limoncello to create a serene atmosphere in which a naked woman gazes at the panorama, from which new realities reveal themselves.
FORNITO SENZA CORNICE
The artist Lucia Mignosa, known as Luminisa,
During the classical studies that the 1960s demanded, thanks to the inventive teachings of a history of art professor, I came to know and fell in love with that world filled with beauty, to which I have remained faithful and fascinated for life. But only later, finding by chance in my hands a creative magazine of the era, lived as a window into the artistic world, following their guidance, I began to create objects to be admired, which ranged from art, to fashion, to objets d’art, in a perpetual search and attempt to express with art enthusiasm and joy as a hymn to life. The explosion of pleasure in creating, experimenting, seeking with perseverance the utmost expression of beauty, urged me, despite family and work commitments and the difficulties that the 70s promised a woman, to attend the studies of renowned Sicilian art masters of the time, to learn as much technique and experience as possible, never losing that one weekly appointment that made me drive 70 km to reach him. And it is by letting myself be inspired and carried by their excellence that I sharpen my views and perfect the technique, reaching my expressive splendor in Luminisa, stage name, of a life devoted to the playful world of cheerfulness, freshness and brightness that materializes in the extreme representation of games in water and bodies suspended in time in a playful prelude to joy. A sensibility, which today I express in painting, sculpture and engravings, that have a very clear purpose, to translate into broad visions of play and into moments of meditation and ecstasy, a meaningful reality that hasdwelt in me always.. Strong, bright tones, apparatuses of artistic gymnastics, hoops in the water, promote the concept of my emotions, bearing playful and artistic complicity with my eternal serene mood..
Selected for two consecutive years by the Luxemburg Art Prize for artistic merit (2024-2025),
Past works are part of the Arianna Sartori Collection at the Museo delle Cappuccine in Bagna Cavallo (Italy),
Disignum Collective with several works presented, International Talent exhibition.
