Space Age Tracca S.A. wall lamp – Spain

Very characteristic Space Age wall lamp by Tracca S.A., Spain, dating from the 1960s/70s.

This sculptural lamp is defined by a large, round UFO-dish shaped reflector in a warm bronze/brass finish. In the center there is a round opal glass, creating a soft and diffused light.
The combination of the broad round disk, the central light window, and the striking technical construction gives the lamp a distinctive Space Age appearance. The design evokes the futuristic lighting that became increasingly popular from the 1960s onward.

Adjustable mechanism
A notable aspect of this lamp is the beautiful, fully visible hinge mechanism with which the large reflector can be adjusted. This allows the direction of the light to be altered.
The mechanism is both technical and sculptural and forms an important part of the lamp’s appearance. In combination with the large round reflector, this gives the lamp a very recognizable vintage look.

The lamp bears the original marking “TRACCA S.A.”, making the Spanish manufacturer clearly identifiable.

The lamp has been tested and functions well.
The included dimmer works perfectly, allowing the light intensity to be adjusted smoothly to suit preference. In combination with the opal glass, a pleasant and atmospheric light is created.

The opal glass is intact.

The lamp has been technically tested and the dimmer functions well. Given the age of the object, it is advised to have the electrical installation checked by a qualified electrician before prolonged or permanent use.
