The work is dedicated to the illustrious Sir Giulio Pallavicino and represents a valuable treatise of historical, political and moral reflection, enriched by splendid historiated initials and by a refined title page engraved with heraldic coat of arms and a printer’s mark.

Pages numbered up to 350, followed by the Table of Contents and the Final Register (complete with printer’s signatures and the inscription "Tutti sono Duerni").

Solid and authentic contemporary binding in full limp parchment, with signs of time that attest to its authenticity and ancient charm. Spine with raised bands

Overall, the copy is in good condition. The paper is crisp and genuine, characterized by wide margins. There are foxing and scattered browning due to the passage of centuries, small period-paper restorations or marginal damp marks that do not compromise readability nor the beauty of the texts. Presence of ancient handwritten ex libris at the margins of the title page.
