The painter Gien Brouwer (Waddinxveen 1944) lives and works in the vicinity of Utrecht.
In Rotterdam he attended the art academy, after which he received private lessons from Hermanus Jozef Wijngaard.
His great love is painting with oil on canvas in naturalistic tones.
He has mastered this technique completely. He also made sculptures for universities. The themes he chooses are mainly Dutch landscapes, such as polder and river landscapes.
