An exceptional lot of three bottles of Masseto 2022, presented in its original wooden case (OWC3).
Masseto is one of Italy’s greatest icons and one of the world’s most sought-after expressions of Merlot. Produced from the celebrated blue-clay terroir of Bolgheri, it combines impressive concentration with elegance, precision and outstanding ageing potential.
GRAPE:
100% Merlot
VINIFICATION AND AGEING:
Parcel-by-parcel vinification, spontaneous fermentation and a total of 24 months in oak, followed by a further 12 months of bottle ageing before release.
TASTING NOTES:
Concentrated red and dark fruit, plum, blackberry, cocoa, liquorice, black truffle, floral notes and a distinctive saline minerality. Powerful and structured, yet silky, balanced and exceptionally persistent.
