It is a walking hunting whip with an integrated whistle. Old, careful craftsmanship using noble materials such as boxwood for the whistle and the whip's tip. For the shaft, ebony was used; the pieces are wood turned on a cabinetmaking lathe. The object thus has two functions: the boxwood whistle for commanding the hunting dogs, and the hunting whip, an accessory used to accompany the dogs, impose a direction or mark the pace; it is an integral part of the ceremonial hunt. Note: a small 5 mm blemish on the ebony shaft.
